Useful and Secure
Bought this riser for my 92-year-old hip-and-knee-replaced mom who has trouble sitting and standing safely from a standard-height commode. She was using a metal-framed high-rise seat, but it took up floor space and made it difficult for her to use either her walker or quad-cane in the bathroom. This raised seat attached directly to the toilet using the same holes as the seat. The elongated screws, washers, and wingnuts that came with it fit perfectly. I will admit it was a little scary tightening them to the point that prevented the high-rise from moving. It's nice that it allows use of the regular toilet seat. It's also easy to keep clean.
