The DuoGlide 5 inch Utility Knife has a wide blade that enhances control. People with arthritis will find this ergonomic grip handle knife is ideal for small jobs that used to seem monumental.

The DuoGlide 5 inch Utility Knife has a unique, innovative handle that positions the user's hand directly over the wide blade to enhance control. The wide blade is knife is designed for slicing, dicing, and chopping parsley, vegetables, fruit, and other ingredients, and also for cutting meat. Grooves in the granton-edged blade fill with fat and juices that might inhibit a smooth cut, and allow more contact between the meat and the blade. The incredibly comfortable, high-impact handle is built for all-day use. The ergonomic grip will stay put in slippery hands or on slick tabletops, and the ultra-soft, right sized textured handle ensures a secure grip. The high carbon, corrosion-resistant Duo-Edge stainless steel blade has an individually ground and honed edge, and is sealed to the handle for greater sanitation.

wonderful knife for nearly everything!
My hands are extremely painful no matter what I try to do so I praise this DuoGlide knife for helping me cut carrots, meat, vegetables, even notoriously tough stuff like butternut squash fresh from the garden. The shape of the knife protects my sore fingers from slamming into the counter and gives me more cutting power because it is shorter than normal heavy-duty knives. I bought another for my sister who suffers with arthritis in precisely the same way I do. I could not function in the kitchen without my DuoGlide Utility Knife.

utility knife
I have rheumatoid arthritis and the DuoGlide knives (I have three sizes)are the perfect shape and weight for my hands. This is the first time in a while I can actually cut vegetables, meat, fruit without my fingers or wrist cramping in pain. The only thing missing is they are not stainless steel.

Easy on hands
Having Charcot-Marie-Tooth makes cutting up foods difficult and painful, but the handle of this knife was so much easier on my hands and wrist. I will be ordering more in the future.
