The
Foam Handle Basic Sock Genie
is an easy to use dressing aid for donning socks or light compression hose without bending. This sock aid has a unique design with a tab that firmly holds the sock in place for the user to easily pull the sock up in place. People with arthritic hands will find the two foam handles provide a soft but firm grip for pulling.
The Sock Genie Basic assists users who have difficulty bending to put on socks and stockings. This easy to use dressing aid for donning socks or light compression hose does not allow the sock to slip off. The center tab on the sock trough holds the sock firmly in place for a snug fit. First, the user places the Sock Genie on their knee and positions the slides the sock onto the trough, hooking the top of the sock over the center tab. The rigid blue trough keeps the sock open. Then the loaded sock aid is lowered to the floor using the cords. The user holds the Sock Genie in front of the foot about 1-2 inches above the floor and then slides their foot into the opened sock, pushing their toes into the sock while pulling back on the foam handles. The sock easily slides over the user’s foot, heel and up the lower leg. Once the sock is in place, the edge of the sock can be unhooked from the blue tab.

16 inches long.

4 inches long, 1.25 inch diameter.
Materials:
ABS, no BPA or and Phthalates.
Soft foam handles comfortable for arthritic hands to grip.
Design does not allow the sock to slip off.
Helpful for putting on socks without bending.

Sock aid
This is not a good product. It only allows toes to go in, but will not allow the sock to come up over the heel. A total waste of money

Bought for my grandma who is experiencing such back pain that she cannot bend over. She said it works great. She is not used to the cold up here so needs warm socks on. Thank you...works great :-)

I bought the sock aid for my husband who as a very bad back and had difficulty putting on of his socks on. He uses it but not without some figuring out how to set it up properly to get the entire sock on. I would buy this product again, the manufacturer needs better optional instructions.

The Basic Sock Genie is mainly for socks and light compression hoses. You may want to search the different options in the "Sock Aid" section. The Compression Stocking Aid (Product Code: ASN230) is one of several Compression aids available.
