The
KE-Classic Eating Utensils Set
are bendable utensils with built up grip handles. People with arthritic hands, limited hand or arm movement, will find these adapted utensils comfortable to hold and easy to use.
The KE Classic Fork and KE Classic Teaspoon and Soupspoon have a twisted shaft that allows the utensil to be bent to the left or right. Angle the utensil by placing the thumb against the flat side of the spade in the desired direction and bend toward the thumb. These stylish utensils are made of stainless steel and are dishwasher safe. The adapted table knife has a rocker blade to help make cutting foods easier. Easy to grasp KE Classic Eating Utensils help increase dining independence for people with arthritis.

Wonderful for my 77 year old arthritic wife. Good sizable handles with sure grip. One suggestion to purchasers, do not get tomato sauce on the handles unless you prefer pink utensils.

This is just what I been looking for, they fit my hands well and provide a much easier eating experience. I can grip the utensils without my hands hurting.

Very useful. Solved the problem of dropping utensil. Soup spoon received was different than picture: circular bowl with flat bottom rather than elliptical, but works OK. I have not had to bend spoons or fork.

I am searching for utensils for my uncle. His complaint with the ones provided at the nursing home is that they are heavy to hold, and he gets tired and stops eating. Are these light-weight in comparison to the heavy rubber-handled ones?

Without knowing the brand of the utensils he is currently using it's hard to compare. But, in comparison to the OXO Good Grip utensils the KE-Classic Utensils are slightly lighter, maybe by a half ounce. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between this set and Oxo brand? My mom has arthritis, neuropathy and a depth perception problem and continuously has difficulty keeping her food on her fork or using a knife to cut her food.

A:
The main difference is the handle. OXO is a well known kitchen product manufacturer. The OXO handles are a higher quality rubber than the KE-Classic Utensils which are a plastic/vinyl rubber material.
