The
My Buckle-Mate
locks in place around the rear seat belt buckle base and will not interfere with the vehicle's buckling mechanism. Users with arthritis will find it keeps the buckle firmly propped up and easy to reach so buckling up with one hand is easier.
The My Buckle-Mate locks around the fabric strap that anchors the back seat buckle to the back seat. It does not obstruct the buckle's release button or latch plate.
The My Buckle-Mate seat belt buckle aid is easy to install. Place each side around the base of the buckle, lock them together and position the buckle in the best position. Install two My Buckle-Mates in adjacent buckle bases to keep both buckles propped up and easy to reach. For people driving cars or SUVs with second or third row bench seats, that have buckle bases that fall into the seat pocket or flop around, this simple adapted holder keeps floppy backseat seat belt buckles propped up and easy to reach. The My Buckle-Mate seat belt aid helps make buckling a rear seat belt easier for people with arthritis or weak hands.

Easy buckle
My Buckle-Mate is easy installed and has helped a lot to buckle in the car. Does hold the piece up good so I can buckle up with ease. Very good value.

Painful to take apart and didn’t work once opened
I purchased this for the buckles on the rear seats of my Subaru Forester. The actual buckles are so tightly embedded down near the seat. This device opens in 2 halves, which are then placed around the actual buckle. The photo makes it look easy, as do the instructions. The reality is that separating the 2 halves of the Buckle Mate is murder on arthritic fingers, and the pieces, once apart could not even get around the buckle because the buckle itself is so close to the seat. A fault of Subaru. I tossed these away. Maybe others will have better luck, if you can get the 2 pieces apart without alot of pain in your fingers.
