The
Potato Ricer by OXO Good Grips
is an extrusion tool for people with arthritis or weak hand grip to easily create smooth mashed potatoes. The handles are coated in soft rubber, which enhances a user's grip and control over the tool. To use, place a cooked potato (peeled or not) in the hopper and squeeze the handles together for perfectly mashed potatoes. Remove the skins from the hopper after each pressing. The 3 inch mashing surface incorporates air into the potatoes as they are riced, resulting in the lightest mashed potatoes possible with no lumps.
This versatile ricer is also great for making homemade baby food with cooked apples and carrots. It can also be used for juicing pomegranates, oranges and passion fruit without worrying about seeds or pits. When finished rest the stainless steel Potato Ricer on a pot or bowl, and a non-slip knob holds it in place.
OXO kitchen tools are recognized by several national and international organizations for superior design, ultimate comfort and ease of use. The OXO Good Grips line was originally engineered to assist the inventor's wife with her arthritic hands. OXO is the leading kitchen tool supplier to the world's gourmet kitchens.
