First let me say that I wold not be able to trim my own nails without this thing. For that I am grateful. However the blade on the clipper is convex rather than the more usual concave. This leaves pointy scallops on the nails which must also be trimmed off. The result is that my nails are somewhat more ragged than they used to be. Not ideal but much better than nothing.

The nail clipper was a gift for my mom's 94th bd.....she was unable to use it because she didn't have the strength to push with the palm of her hand.
