The Roberts Book Holder is a book holder designed for use by individuals with upper extremity weakness due to arthritis or other disabilities. Holds books, newspapers, magazines, or individual sheets of paper at a comfortable angle for reading.

The book holder consists of a base with 10 rows of holes, a book support and a set of pegs. Place the pegs in the appropriate holes to accommodate the width and thickness of the reading material. The pegs keep the book in position and prevent unwanted flipping of the pages while allowing pages to be turned easily.

Roberts Book Holder Specifications:

  • Measures: 7 1/2 x 14 x 7/16 inches when folded.
  • Color: Gray.
  • Material: Plastic.
  • Weight: Less than 2 pounds.
Book holder
I had high hopes for this holder. It holds hard back books but paperback books tend to fall free of the pegs. It was hard to get a tight grip. I have arthritis in my hands and it's hard to hold a book for pleasure reading.

This product is great! I have rheumatoid arthritis in my neck, and this book holder is a huge help so I don't have to tip my head forward to read while seated at a table. It is also wonderful in the kitchen to hold up cookbooks. It is ingeniously designed to be adjustable to any book thickness, so works for hardbacks, paperbacks, and magazines. It also folds down flat for convenient storage or transport. I would highly recommend this product.

My client (injured worker) had a 2-level fusion and we found the book holder to be very beneficial in his retraining program. I bought 2 holders for him so he could use one at home and the other at school w/o lugging one back and forth. Great price considering the benefits.
