The three foam blocks are of different densities to provide three graded levels of resistance. The Soft Touch #1 Gold provides light resistance of 1 to 1.5 pounds, the Soft Touch #2 Blue provides medium resistance of 2.5 to 3 pounds, and Soft Touch #3 Gray provides firm resistance of 4.5 to 6 pounds.
