The Step2Bed Bedside Safety Step is an adjustable height step with a hand rail and motion-activated LED light designed to make getting in and out of bed easier. This portable bed step stool comes with grab bars for decreasing fall risks for users with arthritis who find it difficult to safely transfer in and out of bed.
The Step2Bed Bedside Safety Step has six different height adjustments, from 2.5 to 7.5 inches high. This allows the user to customize the height of the step to meet their specific needs. The extra wide step measures 18 inches long, and 32 inches wide and has non-slip grips. The step does not attach to the bed, so it can be used on either side of the bed. The tall grab bar measures 31 inches high. The lower grab bar measures 22.8 inches at the highest point, and angles down at 30 degrees to the low point of 12 inches high. The design of the shorter side grab bar does not impede the user’s natural motion when lowering their legs when getting out of bed or lifting their legs to get into bed. The motion-activated LED light provides additional lighting for increased safety at night. This adjustable height bed step stool is made from durable, high-quality steel to provide added stability, and it has been tested to support 1200+ pounds. Developed by an RN out of a need to help his grandparents who struggled with mobility and bedside falls, the Step2Bed Bedside Safety Step combines the safety of a handrail with a non-slip step for preventing falls.
