The
SuperPole System with SuperTrapeze
provides a ladder-like handle for the user to easily raise up to a sitting position when in bed. This safety pole requires less floor space than traditional trapeze floor stand systems.
The SuperPole System with SuperTrapeze provides full support for repositioning in bed, sitting up in bed, moving to the side of the bed and standing from bedside sitting. The SuperTrapeze handle can be hooked around the pole for convenient storage. The 17 inch long support arm is height adjustable on the pole at time of installation. The 29 inch long strap is length adjustable. People with arthritis will find the offset trapeze handle is comfortable for gripping for pulling up to a sitting position.
The SuperPole System floor to ceiling grab bar installs easily with no structural reinforcements needed. Rubber pads on the ceiling plate and the floor plate hold the transfer pole in place and prevent marring of the ceiling or floor. Please note: The SuperPole System should only be installed between floors and ceiling of solid construction or injury may result. The SuperPole System should not be installed on loose floor coverings, in rooms with radiant ceiling heating, in mobile homes, or in suspended or angled ceilings. Recommended weight limit is 300 pounds. No more than 150 lbs should be exerted on the trapeze system.

Q:
It states that it has a 300 lb weight limit and then says no more than 150 should be exerted on trapeze. What does that mean? I need something that can be used to assist a 275 lb person from a laying position to sitting with as little effort as possible. Would this fit that description?
Asked by:

A:
As long as the patient is not hanging on the trapeze with their full weight it should be fine. The trapeze is there to help the patient pull themselves up from a laying position to transfer to the pole.
