The
Tek-Pal Universal Remote Control
was designed to be the easiest to use and easiest to see universal remote control for a television. With only 6 buttons, which are oversized and lighted, this palm-sized remote makes it easy to turn your tv on or off, adjust the volume, and change channels. No more sharp arthritis pains from using smaller button remotes.
The Tek-Pal is designed specifically for people who may be visually impaired, allowing them to operate their television from one large, lighted-button universal remote control. This remote control works with standard televisions and televisions with a direct line cable.
The Tek-Pal remote does not have an instruction manual, however, listed below are the simple set-up instructions for the Tek-Pal universal remote control:
Manually turn your TV set on.
Press and hold ON/OFF and MUTE buttons together on your Tek-Pal for 3 seconds until the indicator light above the ON/OFF button illuminates.
Press and release CH+ button repeatedly until TV shuts off.
Press and release the MUTE button immediately after TV shuts off to complete the Tek-Pal setup.
The indicator light will blink 3 times indicating you've successfully programmed your Tek-Pal remote.

Tek Pal Universal Remote
I purchased this item for my 90 year old Dad. The buttons on the regular remote were too small and too many of them for him to be able to manipulate. It was very frustrating. He is thrilled with the Tek Pal and it's simplcity. God answers prayers! Thank you for your speedy service.

folks having to much trouble with too many buttons
The tec pal tv remote was the answer to our prayers for my folks. It has nice large lit buttons, and only the ones they need. Set-up was a breeze. Thanks

WONDERFUL
I Can't say enough good things about this remote. I got it for my brother who had a stroke. Regular remotes were too hard for him to manage and frustrating. This remote is GREAT large buttons for all your needs. Great for anyone this remote is the answer. Thank you Tek Pal.

Time Warner is a service provider, they do not manufacture the cable boxes. Please check the box for the name of the manufacturer. Most manufacturers are supported now.

You'll need to check who the manufacturer of the system is (ATT does not manufacturer their systems). Most TVs and cable/satellite boxes are supported now though.

That would still work. The TV just needs to be on since the remote is trying to turn the TV off during initial set up.
