The PETA
Easi-Grip Loop Handle Scissors
are lightweight scissors with easy to squeeze handles designed for people with decreased hand strength. People with arthritis who are unable to use conventional style scissors due to swollen and painful joints may find these scissors helpful.
Easi-Grip Scissors have a continuous loop handle that automatically reopens the scissors when pressure is released. These adapted scissors require only a gentle squeeze to operate, and can be used between fingers and thumb or fingers and the palm of the hand. The Loop Handle Scissors are available with 3 inch long pointed blades, 2.5 inch short pointed blades or 2 inch short rounded blades. A blade guard is included for storage. Left handed models are also available.

helpful cutting
I was having difficulty managing regular scissors due to thumb joint issues and arthritis. Have had good success with paper cutting. I was unsuccessful getting them to cut open a bag of chips. My husband was also unsuccessful using them for that task.

loop handle scissors
I'm very pleased with these scissors. Arthritis in my hands has worsened, especially affecting my thumbs. It had become painful to use regular scissors. The loop handle is so much more comfortable to use, and causes no additional discomfort. The only (minor) downside is that they are not as strong as a regular pair of heavy-duty scissors. I received a box in the mail and was unable to use the loop scissors to cut through the heavy cardboard and tape because it felt as though they might break. But since that's a once-in-awhile use, I just used regular scissors. But for my daily use, these are great!

Wonderful Product for people with RA
I have severe hand deformities from 40+ years of living with chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis. Many years ago an occupational therapist introduced me to loop scissors but the pair I had was very small. The size of these scissors is perfect for larger projects and are the only type of scissors I am able to use. Excellent product!

Loop Handle Scissors
My mom could not operate regular scissors or even a modified one because of arthritis. She can operate this one and always leaves it out because she depends on them so much. The only difficult part is the safety end. It is a little difficult and needs to be modified since it is very important to keep the scissors safe from younger visitors.

Q:
Will these scissors cut through 2 layers of fleece? Sewing is difficult now with the arthritis in my hands. My sister had to cut the fleece for me to sew. This will not always be possible in the future. Will these scissors help me regain my independence by substituting for hand strength?
Asked by:

A:
They should cut through fleece and yes, you should be able to have more independence with using these scissors.
