3pp® Comforter™ Splint Right Hand holds the wrist and fingers straight and lets the middle and end joints of the fingers relax. Ulnar deviation, also known as ulnar drift, describes a condition where the wrist or fingers shift, a condition that is often caused by Rheumatoid Arthritis. Grip and pinch strength are diminished, and hand function becomes more difficult over time, which hinders performing daily living activities. The 3pp Comforter resting hand splint promotes proper alignment of the MP joints during rest for increased function and less pain and inflammation during the day.
To reduce stress on the wrist and MP joints, this resting hand splint holds them in a neutral position. Each finger can be aligned individually and supported by the malleable padded stays. The fingertips and the thumb are allowed unrestricted movement. The splint is easy to apply and remove using the neoprene straps with large finger holes. The quilted cover is removable and machine washable.
To determine the correct size needed, measure the width from the 2nd to the 5th MP with the hand flat.
