The Formed Sock Aids are helpful dressing aids that allow a sock to be slipped over the form and then pulled onto the foot. People with arthritis will find the molded plastic frame keeps a sock open for their foot to easily slide in.
The Formed Sock Aids have a trough that is made of a durable plastic material that holds its shape while allowing the user to pull the sock onto the foot and position correctly. The rigid material does not compress and prevents a heavy elastic sock from collapsing the trough. A rubber self-adhesive pad (included) may be added to provide a non-slip resistance to the sock and can be placed in the best position for the individual user. The pad helps prevent the sock from slipping off the form too early.
The Formed Sock Aids are available with 3 different handle designs. The Single Cord Loop Handle is a braided nylon cord that is continuous. The handle allows people using one hand to easily lower and lift the sock aid. The 2 Foam Handles provide a built up, soft grip for people with arthritic hands to comfortably hold. The Single Handle with Garter Clips allow the user to attach the garter hooks to the sock or stocking to prevent it from slipping off the plastic form.
