The Akton Polymer Adaptive Pad 1/4 inch is an 18 inch wide, 18 inch deep pressure relief pad made of 100% smooth Akton Polymer. This multifunctional pad can be useful for traditional and non-traditional seating challenges. The pads can be cut and used for spot protection on products, such as arm pads, foot plates, head rests, leg rests, and splints or braces. The 1/4 inch thick Akton Adaptive Pad when used as a cushion is intended for comfort only, not medical intervention. Cover option does not apply for the 1/4 inch Akton Polymer Pad.

The Akton Polymer Adaptive Flat Pad 1/4 inch will not leak, flow, or bottom out. The viscoelastic gel is is tissue equivalent, and moves with the wheelchair user, not against them, to reduce pressure and shear, the two leading causes of pressure sores. Akton polymer is easy to clean with standard disinfectant. It will not support microbiological growth, and it won't absorb body fluids or odors.
